About 1,000 roadwork projects will be carried out from next year, Transport Bureau (DSAT) Director Lam Hin San announced yesterday during a press conference at the bureau.
Addressing the press conference about next year’s roadwork projects, Lam said the government’s interdepartmental Road Projects Co-ordination Group, which was established in 2009, has received 711 applications for roadwork permits from government entities and public utilities to be carried out next year.

Lam said the government expected that about 1,000 roadwork projects will be carried out next year, including private projects and emergency maintenance.
