Macau logs over 400,000 visitor arrivals during Easter holiday

Macau recorded a total of 406,329 visitor arrivals during the four-day Easter holiday period, or a daily average of 101,582, according to calculations based on daily immigration statistics released by the Public Security Police (PSP) during the period.

According to the PSP data, the daily number of visitor arrivals on the four days from Good Friday through Easter Monday stood at 105,169, 122,235, 103,043, and 75,882 respectively.

Last year, the first post-pandemic year, Macau recorded a daily average of 80,294 visitor arrivals during a holiday period of six days in a row that started with the Ching Ming Festival on April 5, 2023 and ended on Easter Monday, April 10, according to PSP data at that time.

In pre-pandemic 2019, Macau recorded a daily average of 107,962 visitor arrivals.

Last year’s average daily number of visitor arrivals stood at 77,296.

Speaking to reporters on Good Friday, Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes said that she expected a daily average of 100,000 visitor arrivals during this year’s Easter holiday period.
