The 12th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE) is slated to take place from April 26 to 28 at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo, with this year’s event being expanded.
A statement from the Macau Government Tourism Bureau (MGTO) on Monday said that the 12th MITE, themed “Meet at MITE: Discovery, Networking, Interaction!”, has been expanded to 30,000 square metres across three halls and features seven “major highlights”. The free admission event will again feature the “1+4”* Pavilion, while the “Belt and Road Product Pavilion” will be set up for the first time.
Moreover, a “25 patacas” campaign will be launched by the Gastronomy Pavilion, The Cellar and Macao Pavilion in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Macau’s return to the motherland, featuring special discounts on products such as mainland tours and culinary delights. Members of the public will also be able to see the latest tourism information and products and services from Macau and worldwide at the event, the statement said.
The statement added that over 100 representatives of overseas travel agency associations have been invited for a business networking session with their Macau counterparts, marking the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic ended in late 2022.
The 12th MITE has been extended so that it opens one hour longer this year and is set to open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 26, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 27, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 28.

*The Macau government’s 1+4 model aims to consolidate and diversify the development of the city’s tourism and leisure industry while putting special emphasis on promoting the development of four nascent industries, namely 1) big health, 2) modern finance, 3) high-tech, and 4) MICE and commerce as well as culture and sport.
