The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement yesterday that the Macao Orchestra is slated to perform “Disney’s Aladdin in Concert Live to Film” on June 1-2 at the MGM theatre in Cotai.
Presented by integrated resort (IR) operator MGM, the event is part of the Macao Orchestra Concert Season and will feature songs from the 1992 animated film and family favourite “Aladdin”, which will also be shown simultaneously on the theatre’s indoor LED screen, the statement noted. Tickets are available on the Macau Ticketing network and range from 300 to 600 patacas
The statement said that the orchestra will be under the baton of Macao Orchestra Assistant Conductor Tony Cheng-Te Yeh. Moreover, several singers will also perform the main characters and include CJ Tan, Rayray, RJ Woessner and SEMISCON Vocal Band. The event will present “an audio-visual feast that combines animation, symphonic music and singing”, reliving the award-winning songs composed by US composer, pianist, music director and record producer Alan Menken.
