A man has been arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Lei Chan Hong said at a regular press conference yesterday.
The 30-year-old local suspect surnamed Kuong works in a bank.
According to Chan, in the wee hours of Friday police officers saw a car parked on a solid yellow line on Avenida 24 de Junho in Nape. Police officers went to the car and discovered that the driver, Kuong, was asleep and reeking of alcohol.
A breathalyser test showed that Kuong’s alcohol concentration was 1.43 grammes of alcohol per litre of blood.
Under questioning, Kuong admitted to drinking alcohol the night before.
Kuong has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP), facing a charge of drunk-driving, according to Lei.
