The government is planning to launch a “WiFi Street” in Taipa Village, with the aim of promoting shopping and boosting business activities in the area, Economic Services Bureau (DSE) Deputy Director Lau Wai Meng said yesterday.

The first “WiFi Street” in the city was launched in the peninsula’s northern districts, extending from the Barrier Gate Plaza to the nearby Lin Zexu Memorial Museum late October last year.

The second “WiFi Street” was set up across the city centre last month, covering the area from the Ruins of St Paul’s to Largo do Senado, as well as Rua de Pedro Nolasco da Silva and Avenida do Conselheiro Ferreira de Almeida.
