SJM Resorts said in a statement earlier this week that it organised a half-day parent-child arts and culture outing on May 4 for nearly 20 mothers and children from the Integrated Service Centre for Family Support – Source of Happiness and Energy, run by Caritas Macau, in the run-up to Mother’s Day.

Mother’s Day will be celebrated this Sunday. The arts and culture outing was held at Grand Lisboa Palace (GLP) in Cotai

The statement noted that the event started with a parent-child workshop, where families crafted string art with dried flowers. The relaxing workshop enabled mothers and their children to spend quality time together and create souvenirs “filled with cherished memories”, according to the statement.

The half-day tour ended with a visit to the new “Moomin Wonderful Encounter - Joyous Adventure” exhibition. There, the statement said that the families took part in interactive games and activities, took photos at the Moomin-themed photo booth and at the exhibition’s photo spots, while the Moomin mascot also made an appearance at the event.

The integrated resort operator noted in the statement that it “will continue to introduce and organise community outreach programmes, supporting Macau government’s efforts towards building a harmonious society”.
