The State Council’s Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office Director Xia Baolong will arrive in Macau today for a seven-day working visit for “investigation and research” purposes, the Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS) announced yesterday.
According to a GCS statement, Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng has expressed his gratitude to the central government for its long-term care and support of Macau, warmly welcoming Xia to visit Macau again for investigation and research purposes, following his four-day working visit to Macau in May last year.
The statement said that the local government “will make appropriate arrangements to make every effort to ensure that this investigation and research work will be a complete success.”
Xia paid a seven-day visit for investigation and research purposes to Hong Kong in February this year.
