The goal of death education is to encourage people to live a better life, and it should be popularised in Macau, Kiang Wu Nursing College (KWNC) Professor Michelle Zhu Mingxia, who is in-charge of the college’s death education course, said yesterday.

According to Wikipedia, death education – scientifically known as thanatology – is education about death that focuses on the human and emotional aspects of death.

Speaking to The Macau Post Daily during an interview at the college yesterday, Zhu said the course was for the college’s Year-3 students, adding that it mainly focuses on exploring the purpose of life and how to live a better life, which are things everyone should know.
