The Health Bureau (SSM) said in a statement yesterday that it is recruiting local traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) doctors and other professionals working in the sector to be “ambassadors” in the promotion of TCM and health. The application period is from today to July 3.

According to the bureau, the ambassador programme, entitled, “Macau Chinese Medicine Health Promotion Ambassador”, aims to promote the TCM culture with the help of professionals and innovative communication teams, so as to raise members of the public’s awareness of health maintenance, treatment and prevention of diseases.

The programme will be for 30 ambassadors, targeting local TCM doctors and other professionals in the sector, the statement said, adding that successful applicants will become ambassadors for two years.

Eligible individuals can visit the bureau’s official website http://www.ssm.gov.mo to find out more details about the programme from today to 3 July, where they can click on the application link or scan the QR code attached to fill in their information to apply for the programme.

No applications will be accepted after the deadline, the statement said, adding that the list of ambassadors will be announced after selection.
