Ilha Verde District Welfare and Mutual Help Association President Cheong Chit urged the government yesterday to carry out specific measures to control the city’s soaring inflation.
The city’s inflation rate stood at 1.53 percent in November, according to the latest available official statistics.
Cheong, who is also the principal of Ilha Verde School, made the remarks on the sidelines of a press conference at the association’s premises.
