The Shoppes at Londoner mall in Cotai has recently won the ‘Retail Development of the Year – Macau’ award during the Real Estate Asia Awards 2024 in Singapore.
The shopping centre, which spans over 600,000 square feet (55,740 square metres) and houses over 150 international brands such as Gucci and Rolex, is the first and only shopping mall in Macau to receive the award, according to a recent statement by Shoppes at Londoner. It also marks the second award that the mall has received since its rebranding in 2019.
The Londoner Macao is on the site of the what used to be Sands Cotai Central.
The statement said that the recent peer-judged awards were established by Real Estate Asia and recognise “properties that push the boundaries of innovation, redefine the standards of excellence and make a lasting impact on the local community”.
In his remarks at the awards ceremony in Singapore, Sands China Ltd. Retail Development Senior Vice President Timothy Jones said: “We are thrilled to have won this important award. Shoppes at Londoner is a unique themed mall, nowhere else in Macau can you access a curated collection of classic British heritage brands combined with on-trend designers in an impressive setting that transports shoppers to the streets of London.”
Moreover, the statement said that the awards event also provided overseas exposure for the mall.
Real Estate Asia, owned by Charlton Media Group, is an industry portal serving Asia’s real estate industry.
