A roving exhibition entitled “Taking a Walk through the Streets of Macao – Knowing about Macao 2024” will be organised by the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) from August to December, according to an IAM statement on Friday.
The statement noted that the exhibition aims to deepen local people’s knowledge of Macau’s civil society and strengthen their sense of belonging. It will be organised for schools, associations and other organisations.
The exhibition has a total of 19 routes. Information about two selected routes, “Charitable Organisations” and “Footprints of Chinese Merchants of Macao”, will be featured in the roving exhibition, the statement said.
Another exhibition, this one scheduled to last two weeks, is also set to be launched, along with a quiz where participants can win souvenirs. The statement said that the bureau has started to receive applications for the activity. The statement did not elaborate on that exhibition’s contents.
Meanwhile, the activity will also be extended to members of the general public, with the statement noting that information boards will be displayed at Taipa Central Park, Lou Lim Ioc Garden, Luís de Camões Park, Dr Sun Yat Sen Municipal Park and Areia Preta Urban Park from October 22 to November 26.
