A representative of Zhejiang University, traditionally known as Zheda, yesterday urged local pupils to improve their academic abilities.
Founded in 1897, Zhejiang University is one of the nation’s oldest, most selective and most prestigious institutions of higher education, according to Wikipedia.
Jin Ru, a staff member of the university’s admissions office, made the remarks at Kao Yip Middle School in Nape, where the Ministry of Education and the Tertiary Education Services Office (GAES) co-hosted an event to announce the results of the admission of local pupils, recommended by their schools, to start studying in the academic year 2017/18 in the mainland.
