CAS academician to talk about ‘intelligent transformation’ at UM

The University of Macau (UM) will host an on-campus talk in Putonghua entitled “Thoughts on the New Era of Intelligent Transformation: A Perspective from a Software Technology and Education Practitioner” next Wednesday, with the event featuring Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) academician Lyu Jian, the public university said in a statement yesterday.

Lyu, who has won multiple awards, is also the former president of Nanjing University and is the director of its State Key Laboratory for Novel Software Technology, according to the statement. His upcoming talk is part of UM’s “University Lecture Series”

The statement added that Lyu is one of the world’s leading software experts. During his talk, he will present an analysis “of the new era of intelligent transformation from both macro and micro perspectives: ‘the era of intelligence’, ‘a transformative world’, and ‘new software technologies’”, and the basic characteristics, main contents, and coordinated development of the era of intelligence, among other topics.
