The St. Regis Bar ranks 22nd in Asia’s 50 Best Bars list for 2024, being the only one in Macau to receive the recognition this year.
The bar is located in The St. Regis Macao hotel in Cotai. The rankings were announced during a ceremony in Hong Kong on Tuesday night. Asia’s 50 Best Bars “showcases the best and most innovative talent in the industry across the region”, according to a statement from the five-star hotel.
The statement noted that the bar owed its success to its “unforgettable guest shifts complemented by live jazz”, adding that the bar is a place that has seen award-winning mixologists and leading industry members.
A guest shift, according to The Star website, means that a particular bar is hosting a guest bartender who will be taking it over for the night, serving his or her own drink creations there.
On receiving the recognition, the statement quoted Frank Sanders, Multi-Property Vice President of The St. Regis Macao and Sheraton Grand Macao, as saying: “This recognition of being No. 22 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars this year is a testament to the passion and creativity that define the exquisite St. Regis experience. As the only bar in Macau to receive this coveted spot, it can be clearly seen that we not only curate drinks but memories – each glass a chapter in our guests’ personal narratives.”
