The Judiciary Police (PJ) were informed by the Fire Services Bureau (CA) on Saturday at 7:15 a.m. that a male corpse was found floating in the sea opposite Hac-Sa Nautical Centre in Coloane, according to a PJ statement.
According to the statement, the firemen saw the cadaver at 7:01 a.m. on their CCTV, and after sending a boat to the scene to investigate, the body was found washed up on the shore at Hac-Sa Beach by the waves and was identified as a middle-aged male.
The statement noted that after a preliminary inspection, no suspicious or criminally induced injuries were found on the corpse.
The statement said that no identification documents were found on the body.
The case was listed as a dead body found. The cause of death still needs to be confirmed by forensic examination. The case has been transferred to the PJ Investigation Section for follow-up, according to the statement.
Body found floating in sea off Macau Tower
The Judiciary Police (PJ) were informed by the Fire Services Bureau (CA) at 10:49 a.m. on Saturday that a male corpse was found floating in the sea opposite a hotel in Avenida Dr Sun Yat-Sen, according to a PJ statement.
The statement said that the deceased is a middle-aged non-local man.
According to the statement, the Customs Service officers brought the corpse ashore, and took him to the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre for treatment, after which he was confirmed dead.
The statement said that at 8:19 a.m. on Saturday, a tenant staying in a hotel guest room in Avenida Dr Sun Yat-Sen reported to the police the discovery of the floating body.
The statement noted that after a preliminary inspection, no suspicious or criminally induced injuries were found on the corpse, except for a superficial laceration of about 3 centimetres on the top of the deceased’s head.
The cause of death still needs to be confirmed by forensic examination.
The case was listed as a dead body found, and has been transferred to the PJ Investigation Section for follow-up, according to the statement.
Senior dies at home alone: police
A local male senior citizen was found dead at home yesterday morning in a rented flat in a residential building near Rua de João de Araújo, according to a Judiciary Police (PJ) statement.
The statement said that the police were notified by the Fire Services Bureau (CB) of the death at 10:20 a.m. yesterday.
According to the statement, yesterday morning, the landlord of the flat went to the residential unit to collect rent from the man, but there was a foul odour coming from the flat and no one answered the door.
The landlord then opened the door of the flat, only to find that the man was lying on his bed dead, and he called the police for help.
The statement said that the case has preliminarily been classified as a dead body found.
The statement noted that the victim had no injuries that could have been caused by foul play, but the cause of the victim’s death was pending the outcome of a forensic examination.
