On Sunday and Monday nights – the second and third days of the Chinese New Year (CNY) – the Venetian in Cotai will be hosting the “2017 5th CCTV Chinese Lunar New Year Cup IBF World Championship” two nights of boxing, male and female, in which Ng Kuok Kun – aka “The Macau Kid” aka KK – will be competing.
The two nights will be televised live on state broadcaster CCTV 5 Live on both nights. The spectacular will also involve pugilists from mainland China, Mexico, the Philippines, Russia, and Thailand.
The Macau Post Daily spoke to KK at a gym in Toi San on Wednesday where he said, “Although the fight will not be included on my professional record, I want to fight and am looking forward to it.”
