The government’s 10-hour ban on tourist coaches picking up passengers along Rua de D. Belchior Carneiro – Kou Ün Kai in Cantonese – is now in force every day of the week from yesterday.

Traffic Consultative Council convener Kuok Keng Man said in December after a meeting of the council with government officials that the government planned to extend the ban on tourist coaches along Rua de D. Belchior Carneiro on Saturdays and Sundays to every day of the week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from February.

According to an announcement by the Transport Bureau (DSAT) early in December, tourist coaches have been banned since December 3 from picking up passengers along Rua de D. Belchior Carneiro from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. over weekends.

This photo taken yesterday shows Rua de D. Belchior Carneiro, known as Kou Ün Kai in Cantonese.
