Integrated Resort (IR) operator Sands China said in a statement earlier this week that around 600 of its staff and their families participated in the 7th edition of its annual July-August activity series “Sands China Amazing Summer 2024”.

The statement noted that the participants were able to join a variety of parent-child activities including large-scale parent-child painting, art and science workshops, a fun fair, storytelling, kids book crossing (exchanging books among kids), and back-of-house property tours.

Sands China Executive Vice Chairman Wilfred Wong Ying-wai noted that a strong emphasis is placed on staff’s “mental and physical well-being and [the company] actively promotes their work-life balance. Additionally, we cultivate a harmonious working environment to ensure high levels of engagement.”

“We are delighted by the positive reception of the Amazing Summer campaign among our team members, and it is a pleasure to be able to provide this parent-child activity series for seven years running”, he added.

Sands China staff member Viana Cheang was also quoted in the statement as saying: “Painting tents and picnicking with children in Le Jardin* was a really fun experience and I am very grateful to the company for making the arrangements. My children had a great time with all the activities and I was so happy to have that bonding time with them. I hope the company will organise fun family activities like this for us every summer!”.

The statement added that to date, the annual campaign has had over 3,300 participants who have “enjoyed wonderful moments with their families at Amazing Summer activities”.

“Le Jardin (French for “The Garden”) is a French-style garden opposite The Parisian Macao.
