An exclusive culinary workshop was held by SJM Resorts last Monday for ARTM Integrated Service Centre members last Monday, which focused on teaching cooking skills to help participants improve their vocational abilities, according to a statement from the integrated resort (IR) operator on Wednesday.
ARTM is the Association of Rehabilitation of Drug Abusers of Macau.
The workshop’s focus aimed to help enable participants to “return to the workforce with greater confidence and realise their full potential”, the statement noted.
The statement said that Mesa by José Avillez Head Chef Herlander Fernandes delivered a demonstration of the preparation of the signature dish Grilled Octopus with Potatoes and Red Pepper Nut Sauce during the workshop at the ARTM Integrated Service Centre.

The initiative was part of the IR’s efforts to support the reintegration of disadvantaged people into society, the statement said.
“By fostering collaboration and social cohesion, SJM is dedicated to contributing to the continued development of a harmonious society in Macau”, the according to the statement.
