A local man banned from driving was arrested for disobedience after making an illegal U-turn, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Wong Wai Chon said at a regular press conference yesterday.

According to Wong, on Sunday night a police officer on patrol in Fai Chi Kei district saw Chong making an illegal U-turn. The officer promptly intercepted him and upon checking the records, he found that Chong had been banned from driving for nine months due to an evasion of responsibility charge in July.
Under questioning, Chong confessed to driving despite being aware of his driving ban.
Chong has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP), facing a disobedience charge, Wong said.
