Integrated resort (IR) operator Galaxy Macau said in a Wednesday statement that Banyan Tree Spa Macau hosted a wellness event entitled “Embracing World Mental Health Day through Yoga and Movement” with yoga and exercise apparel company lululemon on Sunday, aiming to promote mental and physical health.
The award-winning spa is located on the 2nd and 31st floors of Banyan Tree Macau in the sprawling Galaxy Macau integrated resort complex in Cotai.
According to the statement, the event, held on the second floor, celebrated World Mental Health Day and also aimed to support the local government’s call to prioritise physical and mental well-being.
The statement said that a series of activities were held to welcome guests.
The first session was a 60-minute Morning Yoga and Movement class led by a professional yoga instructor and CrossFit practitioner, adding that participants listened to “soft music intertwined with the sounds of nature” and explored the profound connection between psychological wellbeing and overall physical health, as well as being encouraged to embrace nature and the joys of life.
A 30-minute Relaxation and Refreshment Time followed, the statement added, where participants had specially blended health drinks. They also shared stories and discussed how to cultivate “a sense of awe and respect for nature amidst the business of life”, according to the statement. Moreover, in the 60-minute Singing Bowl Sound Bath and Meditation session, the participants were then guided by professional instructors in immersing themselves in the “harmonious tones of the singing bowls”.
Lastly, a lunch with nutritious dishes was prepared. The Aromatherapy Candle DIY Workshop also provided attendees with the opportunity to craft their unique candles, while exclusive spa offers on the day of the event were also available.
