The SJM MSO Tennis Open Day 2024 was held earlier this month, with integrated resort operator SJM Resorts title-sponsoring the event along with two tennis training workshops hosted by the Macau Special Olympics (MSO) on October 10 and November 3, according to a recent statement by the company.
The statement noted that the recently concluded open day, which aimed to provide special needs individuals with an opportunity to “engage with tennis and discover their potential”, was held at Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau and attended by SJM Director and Chairwoman of the Staff Welfare Consultative Committee of SJM Angela Leong On Kei to present awards to tournament winners. The event, which drew over 100 participants, also involved the assistance of 17 SJM volunteers.
Meanwhile, the two workshops hosted by MSO at the University of Macau’s tennis courts attracted over 70 participants and featured professional coaches.
“Through a variety of sporting activities, SJM aims to encourage people from all levels of the community to play tennis and develop their confidence and perseverance”, the integrated resort operator said in the statement.
