The Legislative Assembly Electoral Affairs Committee will have meetings with various government entities to discuss their working plans during the direct and indirect Legislative Assembly (AL) elections and their two-week campaign period, Tong Hio Fong, who heads the committee, said yesterday.
The elections are slated to be held in September.
Speaking to reporters after the committee’s second meeting, at the Public Administration Building in Rua do Campo, Tong said the committee would meet the Judiciary Police (PJ), Public Security Police (PSP), Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) and Printing Bureau (IO) separately.
According to Tong, the committee plans to discuss with the officials how to deal with possible illegalities during the election campaign and elections, as well as the arrangement of transportation on voting day.
