“The Venetian Arena”, which was formerly known as the “Cotai Arena”, has undergone a raft of upgrades and enhanced VIP facilities, which were introduced during a media tour yesterday.
The recently reopened multi-purpose venue at The Venetian Macao in Cotai has a total capacity of 14,000 spectators, according to a statement provided during the tour. Its brand-new VIP amenities comprise 15 VIP Suites, seven VIP Bunker Suites, 10 Sky Box Suites with F&B facilities and a VIP Lounge that can accommodate up to 450 guests, the statement said.
Moreover, the various technical and facility upgrades include video distribution for all the venue’s screens; new lighting, video and audio control systems and improved audio-visual patch locations; and a 360-degree LED ribbon, LED corner screens, a four-sided “jumbotron-style scoreboard”, and digital signages in the concourses.
The back-of-house facilities, meanwhile, feature five-star artiste dressing rooms, locker rooms for sporting events, as well as crew catering and laundry rooms, the statement said.
The arena was the venue for Saturday’s concert by celebrated Mandopop artist Diamond Zhang (Zhang Bichen). Among the events set to be hosted at the newly revamped arena, according to The Venetian Macao website, are the “PANTHER CHAN MACAU LIVE 2024: MINDFULNESS” on November 30, and, next month, the NBA Legends Celebrity Game Presented by Sands China and grammy-nominated and multiplatinum US singer-songwriter Charlie Puth’s “Something New” tour.
Guangzhou-born Panther Chan (陳蕾), 34, is a Hong Kong singer-songwriter.
