A local couple in their seventies have been caught red-handed reselling Mark Six lottery tickets in San Kio district, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Lei Chan Hong said during a regular press conference yesterday.
During a search of the duo’s stall on Monday, the Public Security Police seized a total of 44 Mark Six lottery tickets.
Lei identified the two suspects as local residents, the husband surnamed Loi and his wife surnamed Chan. Both started their “business” of reselling lottery tickets in August this year.
Under questioning, Loi admitted that he had purchased 60 Mark Six lottery tickets from a man earlier for 2,700 patacas and was selling them for 50 patacas each, with a potential profit of 300 patacas if all were sold. Chen claimed that she was “unaware of the situation”. The case involves “illegally operating or selling lottery tickets” and has been referred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP) for further questioning.
