Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chon Weng said yesterday that the government had not been pressured by the gaming operators into allowing them to set up smoking lounges in all gaming areas.
The policy secretary also said the government had not made a final decision on the matter, urging the six gaming operators to comment on the required standards for smoking lounges announced by the Health Bureau (SSM) yesterday morning.

Tam made the remarks yesterday evening while speaking to the media after attending a plenary session of the legislature.
