The zone’s executive committee, which is run under the management committee, is the body tasked with the zone’s daily functioning and execution of tasks.
According to the statement, Cheong said during the meeting that the new working group will enable Macau to strengthen its coordination with Guangdong Province to create synergetic effects in promoting the zone’s development.
The meeting addressed the development path for the projected “Macau + Hengqin” modern industrial system, according to the statement.
Cheong also noted that the various speeches and instructions made by Xi during his inspection visit to Macau and Hengqin in December last year have provided clear directions for the zone to achieve its second-phase development goals.
