Macau Radio Taxi Corporation Chairman Cheong Chi Man said yesterday he expected the remaining 50 special radio taxis to be ready for use by the end of May, after the initial 50 taxis come into service in early April.

Cheong added that his company will announce when the remaining 50 taxis hit the roads after reviewing its operation over the two months.

Cheong made the remarks after his company showed the media how the rear seats in five of the taxis can be folded back to allow two wheelchair users to get into and get out of the specially adapted vehicles, with the assistance of the driver.
