The Cultural Industries Fund (FIC) granted 40.5 million patacas for 13 projects during the first two months of this year, more than the 33 million patacas granted during the whole of 2016.

The fund held a press conference yesterday to sum up its work last year and what it plans are for this year. The press briefing was held at the Village Mall, a three-floor retail space for locally-designed cultural and creative products at Broadway Centre in Rua do Campo.

According to a statement released by the fund during the press briefing, the 40.5 million patacas in grants paid out in January and February included 18 million patacas in subsidies and 22.5 million patacas in interest-free loans. The 13 projects involved a total investment of 128 million patacas, the statement said.
