According to Leng, the Judiciary Police acted upon intelligence that a Hong Kong drug trafficking gang had arranged for its members to sell drugs in Macau. The police identified Wong and arrested him at the Macau side of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port (border checkpoint).
The police found 108 packs of cocaine which weighed 44.2 grams, with an estimated street value of about 84,000 patacas. Under questioning, Wong admitted to having been hired by a Hong Kong drug gang, and having received HK$5,000 as payment for smuggling drugs to Macau , as well as HK$2,000 per day as payment for selling drugs in Macau.
Leng noted that Wong had been to Macau about a fortnight ago to sell drugs. The Judiciary Police (PJ) transferred Wong to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP) yesterday, where he is facing charges of selling drugs, according to Cheong.
