Locals with innate disabilities to get pension: govt

The government plans to include residents who suffer from congenital disabilities as recipients of the Social Security Fund’s disability pension, Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) Social Solidarity Department Chief Choi Sio Un said yesterday.

Choi made the announcement when briefing reporters after attending a closed-door meeting of the government-appointed Rehabilitation Affairs Committee at the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ).

According to Choi, the government will submit an amendment bill to the legislature this year.
