There are no unified guidelines and regulations for healthcare workers to follow in Macau, Agnes Lam Iok Fong, who chairs the Macau Civic Power (ECM) group, said yesterday, whereas Medical Affairs Committee Secretary-General Leung Pui San said the establishment of a medical malpractice evaluation committee could fill the gap.
Lam and Leung made the remarks during the open-air Macau Forum, a weekly public debate programme run by government-owned broadcaster, which is held every Sunday in Areia Preta Park.

Both Lam and Leung were among the five panellists at yesterday’s forum. About a dozen audience members were in attendance.
