Themed “Heterotopia”, this year’s month-long art festival will present 25 programmes of dance, music and theatre exploring various possibilities of space by means of different art manifestations.
Heterotopia is a concept in human geography elaborated by French philosopher Michel Foucault (1926 – 1984) to describe places and spaces that function in non-hegemonic conditions, such as when you see yourself in the mirror, according to Wikipedia.The 28th Macau Arts Festival (FAM), organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), will take place from April 28 to May 31. The festival comprises over 100 activities, including outreach programmes as sidelines to the performances.
