Teachers and pupils of Pooi To Middle School Macau will design a solar energy storage system to raise pupils’ awareness of environmental protection, the school’s principal, Lei Pou Tin, said yesterday.
Lei made the remarks on the sidelines of yesterday’s energy-saving activity in which Energy Sector Development Office (GDSE) staff visited the school’s campus in Nam Van to explain to the pupils how to save energy.
The office launched a three-month energy-saving campaign yesterday, with 46 primary schools and 34 secondary schools taking part, according to a statement by the office yesterday. Lei’s school has joined the campaign.
