Several Coloane residents among the audience of a community forum held by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) yesterday urged the government to tackle parking and hygiene problems in certain areas on the island.

The bureau holds a regular community forum in a different area of the city each month. Yesterday’s forum took place at the IACM-run Carmo Auditorium in Taipa.

Coloane Residents Association Vice Chairman Ng Kun Cheong, a member of the audience, said when addressing the forum that cars were often illegally parked on the pavements near Hellene Garden in Hac Sa Village.
