The Public Security Police (PSP) issued the following statement last night about an incident involving two online reporters:

“At about 9:23 a.m. yesterday, two online media reporters, dissatisfied with the Legislative Assembly’s arrangements, refused to enter the Legislative Assembly’s auditorium.

They then caused a disturbance on-site and repeatedly attempted to enter the plenary chamber but failed.

Subsequently, they shouted very loudly at the scene. Despite multiple admonitions by Legislative Assembly staff, their behaviour seriously disrupted the order at the scene, prompting Legislative Assembly personnel to request police assistance. As the two individuals were suspected of affecting the Legislative Assembly’s operations, PSP officers took them in to assist in the investigation.

After investigating, it was found that there is strong evidence indicating that both individuals are suspected of violating Article 304 of the Penal Code – “Disrupting the operation of Macau Special Administrative Region organs.” The case will be referred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP) for further investigation."

According to Article 304 of the Penal Code, both face a prison term of up to three years or a fine.
