With the aim of encouraging local enterprises to grasp the opportunities brought about by the digital economy, the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre (CPTTM) and the Computer Chamber of Macau (CCM) yesterday jointly organised the “Seminar on China’s New Technology Trends and Business Transformation”, which brought together senior technical experts from four renowned technology companies in the mainland, namely Lenovo, DPtech, KING BASE, and Leadsec Technology, keen to bring cutting-edge digital solutions to Macau enterprises.

The seminar, held at the CPTTM headquarters in Zape, focused on four core technology areas: Full Stack Intelligent Collaborative Office System, New Generation Network Security Protection, Domestic Autonomous Controlled Database, and Intelligent Compliance and Efficiency Solutions.

According to yesterday afternoon’s seminar, these technologies not only respond to the requirements of the nation’s “Information and Innovation” strategy but also provide cost-effective digital transformation tools for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Through a raft of practical examples, the experts from the four tech companies analysed the latest trends in the mainland’s technological development and discussed how Macau enterprises can apply these technologies in line with their local conditions.

Delivering a speech during the seminar, CPTTM Deputy Director General Chang Chak Io said: “I hope that through [yesterday’s] seminar, we can help local enterprises in Macau gain an in-depth understanding of the new trend of technological development in the mainland, and think about how to incorporate some of the new technologies in the mainland into the business operations of Macau’s SMEs, so as to promote the upgrading and restructuring of SMEs”.

At the seminar, Lenovo demonstrated how its Intelligent Collaborative Office System can enhance the operational efficiency of enterprises, while DPtech shared the latest technology of network security protection. KING BASE introduced the technological advantages of databases developed in the mainland, while Leadsec emphasised practical solutions for compliance and efficiency enhancement.

According to the about the 2 ½ hour seminar, the technologies demonstrated by the four tech companies are important references for enterprises to launch and advance their digital development strategies.

According to participants in yesterday’s seminar, it has not only enabled local enterprises to learn about the latest technology trends but, more importantly, to gain practical solutions that can be put into practice, which would be of substantial help in promoting the transformation and upgrading of enterprises.
