The winners of the recently held 2025 MGM Macao International Regatta Photography Competition have been announced, with the top three winners and Merit Award recipients recognised at a ceremony in MGM COTAI on Monday, the Sports Bureau (ID) noted in a statement yesterday.
Taking the top spot this year is Lam Kok Kun, who received a 5,000 pataca cash prize along with a trophy, while the first and second runners up were Pang Chi Pong and Cheong Chan Hong respectively. Pang won 3,000 patacas, while Cheong was awarded 1,500 patacas, along with trophies.
Meanwhile, Lei Chan I, Chao Hio Yung, Lam Kok Kun, Ching Chun Keung and Chiang Ka Chon each garnered Merit Awards, according to the statement.
The contest was held during the 2025 MGM Macao International Regatta, which took place in January, to encourage Macau residents to participate in the event in different ways and “to deepen their knowledge of and interest in sailing sport”, the statement said.

The 2025 MGM Macao International Regatta was held in January and gathered a total of 270 sailors from 22 countries and regions to vie for top prizes.
This year’s five-day event saw the introduction of the inaugural “World Match Racing Tour – Macao Match Cup” as a main event, where the UK’s Ian Williams led his Pindar by Manuport Logistics team to victory. The two other main events of the regatta were the “Lotus Cup Regatta” (IRC category) and the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Cup Regatta” (IRC category).
