Panellists and most audience members at yesterday’s Macau Forum said that paid paternity leave and compensatory holidays should be given top priority when revising the Labour Relations Law.

The weekly open-air debate is hosted by government-owned broadcaster TDM in Areia Preta Park every Sunday.

Yesterday’s forum focused on the proposed changes to the Labour Relation Law, such as five days paid paternity leave, 14 unpaid days in addition to the current 56 days paid maternity leave, and compensatory holidays and flexible compensation for employees who work on public holidays.
