The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) said in a statement yesterday that its three-day roadshow in Bangkok attracted 175,423 visitors.
The event, held between Friday and Sunday at the Siam Paragon mall, showcased Macau’s tourism offerings through themed booths, interactive games, and exclusive travel deals, all under the theme of “Macao Wonder”.
The statement noted that Thai travel agencies, airlines, and Macau’s six integrated resort operators sold about 1,006 hotel and flight packages during the event, generating over 6.40 million baht (1.58 million patacas) in sales. Local celebrities and influencers participated in the roadshow, alongside appearances by popular Thai mascot Warbie Yama* and Macau’s tourism mascot MAK MAK.
To enhance visitor engagement, MGTO partnered with Thai e-payment platforms to offer instant discounts for trips to Macau. The statement said that promotional ads were displayed on 128 digital screens across Bangkok, reaching an estimated 19.8 million views.
According to the statement, the event represented part of MGTO’s ongoing efforts to expand Macau’s presence in Southeast Asia, building on similar successful roadshows in Tokyo and Seoul earlier this year. The tourism office emphasised its commitment to further regional promotions and continued participation in major international travel fairs to boost Macau’s global tourism profile.
