The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) said in a statement yesterday that the local government grants eligible foreign visitors using the vehicle lanes at the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge to undergo the entry and exit procedures without having to leave their vehicles, with MGTO promoting the measure through various methods and platforms.

The statement noted that the in-car immigration procedure has been effective since Monday, and applies to foreign nationals from countries with visa-free entry to Macau and holding a valid passport, travelling in passenger vehicles with no more than nine seats. Those who do not meet the criteria can still complete customs procedures at a nearby Clearance Hall for On-Board Passengers or the arrival/departure hall, according to the statement.

MGTO said that it is publicising the measure through graphic, written and video posts in English and other foreign languages on its overseas platforms on social media, among various other methods. It will also be promoted online such as MGTO’s What’s On webpage, while posts are also put up on various social media platforms, according to the statement.
