Japanese lime, delicately marbled beef, tuna with fresh wasabi and tempura chicken with spicy citrus sauce are just some of the food and flavours authentic to Oita, in the north-eastern part of Kyushu, in Japan, and they are on the menu in Yamazato restaurant in Hotel Okura Macau.
The restaurant is once again hosting the Oita Prefecture Food Fair this year where executive chef Akira Hayashi and his culinary team have designed a lunch and a dinner menu where guests can savour the best of Oita.
As a coastal prefecture, Oita is rich in food resources thanks to the sea and mountains. It is one of the top producers of shiitake mushrooms, it is known for its tiger shrimps, Beppu Bay thin tuna, striped jack fish, and the prized Bungo beef that melts in your mouth, which are all available at the restaurant.
