The Sports Bureau (ID) held its latest “Macau Sport For All” event on Saturday at the sitting-out area at the Lok Yeong Fa Yuen residential estate in Fai Chi Kei district , bringing together families for a fun-filled day of interactive sports activities, according to an ID statement yesterday.
The one-day event aimed to strengthen community bonds, promote physical fitness, and encourage lifelong participation in sport across all age groups, the statement said.
According to the statement, the event was attended by residents of all ages who engaged in a range of games and fitness activities. Representatives from local sports associations were on hand to demonstrate proper techniques in various disciplines, giving attendees the chance to learn new skills in a safe and educational environment.
The statement underlined that the event included competitions with prizes, adding excitement and encouraging greater involvement, as well as emphasising social inclusion, with activities tailored for all ages, helping foster interaction between generations.
Interactive formats to raise awareness of healthy living were used in the event, in addition to building a more active lifestyle culture within the community, the statement noted.
The statement added it will continue hosting the event monthly at public parks and recreational venues across Macau.
