A total of 11 lawmakers joined a formal meeting with Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On and some of his senior officials at Government Headquarters on Saturday, urging the government to solve the Pearl Horizon residential project dispute as soon as possible.

Speaking to reporters outside the headquarters after the meeting, lawmaker Kwan Tsui Hang said the lawmakers had made a raft of suggestions to Chui about how to tackle the row.

According to Kwan, the government side in the meeting said they had looked into the lawmakers’ suggestions before. However, there were still some problems the government would face no matter which plan it chose, Kwan said.
