The first batch of 15th National Games tickets for their upcoming Macau events, including women’s volleyball and karate, will go on sale on Saturday, followed by table tennis on Sunday, while all tickets will be available through the official ticketing website, the WeChat Mini-Program, and authorised resale platforms, as well as physical ticketing outlets, the local preparatory office for the 15th National Games, 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities & 9th Special Olympics announced in a statement on Friday.
The statement pointed out that prospective spectators must complete real-name registration before purchasing their tickets.
The five competition events to be hosted by Macau are 3x3 Basketball, Men’s U18 5-a-side Basketball, Karate, Table Tennis, and Women’s Volleyball.
According to the statement, physical outlets will only sell tickets for Macau events and also follow the real-name system so that all purchasers must present valid identification, such as their Macau ID card, Hong Kong ID card, Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macau (EEP) or passport, and comply with ticketing guidelines.
Pun Weng Kun, who heads the preparatory office, said in the statement that the Games are expected to attract a large number of tourists and sports fans to Macau, and foster mutual enhancement between the sports economy and cultural and tourism consumption while further promoting diversified local economic development. Pun also said that in the final sprint before the opening of the National Games, Macau is going all out in its preparations to deliver a spectacular sporting event for participants and spectators, allowing everyone to experience the energy and charm of Macau.
In order to advance preparations for the 15th National Games and the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities & 9th Special Olympics, and to strengthen collaboration with local enterprises, the local preparatory office held a press conference on Friday at the Macau Science Centre (MSC) in Nape, focusing on local corporate sponsorships and the preparation progress for the Macau segment of the Games.
