Public bus operator Transmac has bought 10 three-door buses that are 12 metres in length, with the aim of improving the service on one of its busiest routes.

The company expects the 10 buses made by mainland bus manufacturer Yutong to come into service on route MT4 by the end of this month at the earliest. The route runs between the Barrier Gate border checkpoint and Pac On Ferry Terminal in Taipa.

The company held a press conference yesterday to brief the media on the features of the new buses manufactured by the Zhengzhou-based company, the provincial capital of Henan.
