The Macau SAR Government Headquarters Open Day will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to a statement released by the Government Information Bureau (GCS) yesterday.
The statement said that this year’s floral arrangements for the two-day event are themed “15th National Games”, and landscaping has used a wide array of flowers and plants, aiming to create a festive and vibrant atmosphere, and encourage public engagement with the upcoming National Games, and representing its unique elements.
The 15th National Games will take place in Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macau on November 9-21.
The Open Day activity will be held at the local government headquarters on Avenida da Praia Grande, featuring large scale themed display areas setup in the mansion and its grounds and gardens, according to the statement.
The statement noted that during the event, residents and tourists will have the opportunity to visit the headquarters’ Multi-Purpose Room, Lotus Room, Grand Hall, Green Hall, Yellow Hall and Blue Hall.
Moreover, a garden tour, starting with the lotus pond, where large floral arrangements and decorations will be set up as photo spots, and performances by the Macau Police Band and Macau Conservatory students, will be provided.
Meanwhile, souvenirs will be offered to visitors while supplies last to commemorate the Open Day, the statement said, adding that the Macau Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) will set up a temporary postal counter near Nam Van Lake, offering commemorative postmark services and philatelic products related to the event, the statement said.
The statement highlighted that selfie sticks, umbrellas, drinks and food are not permitted, and neither are pets allowed.
