CAC – Círculo dos Amigos da Cultura de Macau (“Circle of the Friends of Macau’s Culture”) is calling on Macau’s children to submit works for a drawing contest it is hosting titled “Vision of the World”, with submissions accepted until October 31.

Open to Macau students aged between four and 12, participants will take on the theme “In my eyes”, with a CAC statement released on its Facebook page last Thursday noting that they are “encouraged to express their unique perspectives, observations, and experiences”.

They are also urged to unleash their creativity and imagination through their original works and showcase their “unique world”.

Entries, according to the contest guidelines, must be on A3 drawing paper, with no restrictions on materials, allowing the participants to use mediums including watercolours, crayons, colouring pencils, among others. The works can be in black and white or colour, the statement said.

The winner stands to receive a prize voucher of 1,000 patacas and a trophy, while a prize voucher of 800 patacas and 500 patacas are up for grabs for the first and second runners-up respectively in addition to trophies.

Moreover, there will be 20 merit awards and a Special Jury Prize featuring a 200 pataca voucher and trophy, the statement said.

The competition guideline noted that winners will be announced in mid-November.

The participants can submit their works until 5:30 p.m. on October 31. More details can be found by visiting the CAC Facebook page.
